Rucking Machine This machine is designed to reduce the labour costs associated with filling the cones for mesh baggers with mesh. The cone is placed on the platform, the rucking wheels are engaged and the machine is turned on. There are adjustable weights on the back of the machine that determine how tight or loosely the mesh is installed on the cone. Once the cone is full the machine automatically turns off. |

Basic Carrot Cutter This economical cutter was designed for the smaller grower/processor. The carrots are fed onto the feed in tray with a conveyor while 1 or 2 people orient and align the carrots into the flights with the butts facing out. The carrots are then fed through the blades cutting them into whatever size the customer desires. The butts are discarded out the side chutes and the cut pieces are separated on the discharge end according to each individual customers requirements. |

Top & Tailer Carrot Cutter This cutter is ideal for a medium sized grower/processor. The production capacity of this machine is similar to the Basic Cutter; however, no people are required to orient and align the carrots into the flights. The carrots are slid over to one side where the tip/butt is cut off, then tilted the opposite way and slid over to the other side where the tip/but is cut off the other end. The butt/tip is discarded out the side while the remaining carrot is cut into 2" or 4" lengths and discharged off the end. |

Spinach Packing Machines This automatic weighing & packing machine is a good example of a job where we worked closely with the customer to develop the machine he had in mind. When this machine was fabricated the customer came to us with a design for two custom spinach-packing machines to suit his specific application. He had basic drawings of what he was looking for and was closely involved through the entire project while they were fabricated and tested. This machine was designed to pack spinach and ice into a newly developed plastic container that was now becoming standard for the spinach industry. The spinach was weighed in batches of 12 lbs, each batch was released into an empty bin at the bottom of the packing machine. The spinach was then compressed with a plunger and then indexed automatically to the next position where 10lbs of crushed ice was discharged onto the spinach. The box would again automatically index to a third position where again 12lbs of spinach was released onto the ice. A second plunger would then compress the spinach again and hold it down while the box was ejected from the indexing conveyor, the lid was closed and the full box was taken away. All functions of this machine are controlled by a PLC with amazing flexibility for timing adjustments. |
